According to the owner’s manual that came with it, we use a 3602XL FiberCube, Class 4, 80-watt, open pulse fiber laser by Laserstar Technologies.  We just call it badass.  This system is capable of so much more than we demand, but the capability is there.

The FiberCube system offers state-of-the-art technology with the highest laser beam quality.  High precision markings are achieved on almost any type of material.

We’ve done all types of engravings… from basic text inscriptions to custom engraving on firearms to complex multi-section engravings on car engine parts.  We’ve lasered polymer, brass, granite, aluminum, steel, and titanium.  Notice we didn’t mention wood.  This laser likes to catch the wood on fire.

  • Logos, certification symbols, barcodes, ATF & trust engraving, polymer pistol grips

  • Simple custom text, serial numbers, bitmaps, graphic, and CAD files (HPGL)

  • Rapid marking on precious metals with heat-sensitive materials

Laser Work Prices & Fees

Artwork Setup

Text Only

$10.00

“Text Only” is pretty straightforward.  We let you pick the font and we put it into a format that can be engraved into your part.  The setup is simple, therefore, the fee is minimal.  We do reserve the right to refuse certain fonts, but don’t worry, we literally offer thousands of them.

Artwork Setup

w/ Image

$25.00

If you can provide us with an image, we can turn it into an engraving, but it does take considerable work to bridge that gap.  This is where the artwork setup fee comes from.  This is a one-time fee.  We will keep a file of your artwork for future projects without the setup fee if there are no changes to the original artwork

Laser Marking

$10.00 – $20.00

Laser marking is a technique used to make a permanent mark on the surface of your part with little to no material removal.  What you get is a contrasting (light or dark) mark that is smooth to the touch.  Color marking is doable on high carbon content alloys.

Laser Engraving

$20.00 – $30.00

Laser engraving really starts to open up your options when compared to laser marking.  Laser engraving is the removal of material to create a permanent feature with relief on the surface of your part.  Engraving allows for varying shades of gray with different textures.

ATF / Trust Engraving

Hi-Vis

$45.00

We will engrave your Form 1, Form 4, or Trust information on your firearm’s receiver in accordance with BATF-E standards.  High visibility is characteristic of highly contrasting text on an easily viewed exterior surface (in plain sight).

ATF / Trust Engraving

Discreetly Located

Add $25.00

We will engrave your Form 1, Form 4, or Trust information on your firearm’s receiver in accordance with BATF-E standards.  While still highly contrasting, the discreetly located ATF/Trust engraving is not readily seen during a precursory inspection of the firearm.  This technique might be used in conjunction with the subduing, below, to stamp a clone firearm where visual aesthetics are very important.

ATF / Trust Engraving

Subdued

Add $20.00

We will engrave your Form 1, Form 4, or Trust information on your firearm’s receiver in accordance with BATF-E standards.  We subdue the normally high contrasting engraving with epoxy enamel that corresponds with the finish of the firearm.
